Awwww....2015 giving a flower to 2016

Hi everyone, wow, just wanted to make sure I sneaked in a last post before year end, cause we are going to Disneyworld!!!! (no seriously) For all the Disney mayhem you can read my last post. And yes the Disney insanity continues. But I can only do so much. Christmas left me wiped out, Santa is exhausted . I've wrapped so many gifts I have to get a manicure- hehe anything to squeeze in a manicure.
I know , I know I was supposed to technically post this past Friday, but Hello Christmas! We are all very excited for the New Year. I mean very very excited: (bullets please):

• Will get more gym time in! I'm not kidding
• More books to read (and magazines) yum
• More recipes to make !
• More friends to visit and entertain
• More business to grow!
• More all things related to @garyvee
• More @periscopeco
• More me (I mean on the blogosphere)

Ok stop the bullet points we don't want to get carried away. I know a lot of people are shy about making comments. However, feel free to let me know what topics you wan't me to cover or you have an interest in. Because you know I can continue typing about anything an everything. I don't suffer from Bloggers block-hehe.
SO 2016 -here we come- it will be another Roller-coaster ride (yeah but this time I will be riding real ones at Magic Kingdom) For all live action - follow me on Periscope too!

INSTAGRAM INSANITY!!!

Yep, as my title says , this week has been all consuming by an APP!!!! Yes my friends, in 2 days I have gone from complete amateur , to #tagitlikeaboss thanks to the help and tips by Ms. +Peg Fitzpatrick herself. 

That being said, I have totally neglected my other platforms such as Twitter, and Periscope and at the bottom of my list poor, poor, poor +Pinterest . Instagram is like a bullet train , Poor Pinterest is like the locomotion.(choo-choo) Sad. but true. So here is my 2 cents or should I say in all caps CAUTION!!! Instagram will run your life. Why ? because you want to capture , video , post every living moment of your being. Talk about being in the present. Then you get excited when random ppl like your posted pics of your cat, then start following you. Thats where the anxiety sits in . Omg I am a Star ! In 2 days I have almost 200 followers. Now lets be honest here, there is no way shape or form that this would have happened to me on Twitter circa 2009. No way. And you know that, probably by now.

There are a variety of topics that absolutely mesmerize me: bullets please:

• architecture
• photography
• other business owners
• men
• +Grumpy Cat 
• +Kat Von D's High Voltage 
• +thekatvond 
• and drum roll: makeup , makeup, makeup.

On this last topic of makeup: it will consume you. Please do not fall into the Makeup vortex like I did and ordered every single liquid lipstick and glitter galore. Yes folks I am currently waiting for my makeup to arrive. This is where they get you!!!

GOING TO DISNEYWORLD? PREP PPL...

MY MIND WHILE "PREPPING"

Well Hello M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E! Remember the Mickey Mouse show?!! I think it was on 2 centuries ago. Anyway, I haven't been to Disney world since 1994 , so do the math. I wasn't aware of all the "prep" you actually need before arriving.
The "prep" or Mise en Place (meeze-on-plahs) definition: means to have on hand all the ingredients measured and prepared- we are going to need bullet points for this:

• Here I am thinking of all nights, I am just going to pick up the phone and voila there will be a Disney Magic Kingdom table reserved and ready for me before midnite -not . Make sure you call way in advance to make your dinner reservations. I am lucky enough to have a fellow tweep that hooked me up with a wonderful app : My Disney Experience- whatever you do download this! Of course after putting in my date and refreshing the screen after 100 times, I got a dinner reservation at 9pm!! woot!
• Another term or event that you may be unfamiliar with: Maximum Park Capacity. Meaning you will actually be turned away, regardless if you got there as early as 10am. Yep, so we are getting there at 7am and we are planning to stay there way past midnight.Gasp
• Now in the event you are not app friendly , you have the option of calling for dinner reservations: which of course I did: and you are greeted with harps and twinkle and magic and a unicorn and rainbows. Then the customer service rep comes finally on the line. This is me: Hi! I want to make reservations for Magic Kingdom for NYE. Insert unamused emoji here. Ok no places available. Me: Check Epcot! Check Animal Kingdom! Customer Service rep: Mam Epcot is not Magic Kingdom...

•  
•  Who knew after 20 years things would be so different. But they are. Remember in 1994 there were no apps there was only Mickey & Minnie and Pluto and well you get the picture.
• Oh and also if you think you will get into a drunken stupor on NYE forget it the only place that you can get a beer is at "Be our Guest Restaurant" which is book till 2020. We will only have coca-cola (wink)
• Oh and I have included a link below on how to enjoy Disney w/ the Whole Family (yes there is a You Tube channel for that)
• And it goes on and on and on....geez sometimes I wish it was 1994 again.DISNEY PARKS YOU TUBE CHANNEL NO REALLY

TROLL EPIPHANY ON THE SCOPE...

Awwww so you guys missed me , you really really missed me. Yep by one day. So anyway yes my "epiphany" was as follows:

This is all regarding Periscope, and how happy I was to see that I had close to 1,750 followers. If you tweet organically like I do , meaning its me folks not a bot, then you would be jumping up and down if that was your real follower count. And believe me it took me a way long time on twitter to actually get to the two thousand mark . Way too long. To my amazement , and after just a few months on the Scope a.k.a Periscope my follower count was on the up and up. That was until this past Thursday when I watched a live scope done by Mr @raygcreative and mind you that this was after 10 pm when I'm usually getting ready to sleep and on a weekday. What was happening on Periscope was a troll invasion, like a virus I was getting new followers but upon close inspection my followers looked something like this:
SEX CHAT
SEX CHAT
SEX CHAT
So Thank you Ray for opening our eyes , because Trolls come in all shape and sizes. And some of them look like supermodels. They even have FAKE VERIFIED CHECK MARKS!!! FOR REAL, (Thank you Ray for pointing this out to us) Another way to spot a troll or "fake follower" is when they have 4 followers and they follow more than 6000 ppl , yeah you do the math ratio. After watching the Ray scope , it took me until 1am to block all the trolls one by one. I even was tweeting to Ray and giving him live updates.
Bottom line: I went from 1,700+ followers to 614, now that's a lot of blocking!! But it needed to be done.
Mission accomplished, not really , its still a work in progress. Just ask Ray

Ok , so like my title says Age-ism is alive and well ppl. Yep indeed. I attended a monthly meet-up for Techies such as myself with 3 presentations:

Presentation #1: mind you that these are all Start ups looking for VC (Venture Capital) $$$$$
ok back to Presentation 1------> Quriquant is for Traders as in Stock/bonds/smart guy very on point/ new his craft
Presentation 2------> INJII----> I loved this guy . He was soooo nervous, but I actually understood his concept . Bravo.
Presentation 3------->> LABRADOR CONNECT: guy walk up to stand grabs mic, starts walking around the stage like the salesperson that he is. Ok, ok lets see what hes got, I'm thinking.The man started out with this
a picture of (and I kid you not) a and I quote "a 57 year old woman squinting at a screen" All of a sudden, I looked to my left then to my right and everyone was chuckling. This is the part where I should have stood up and said " this is the Sexist and most ageist presentation ever" what if this started with "imagine a Millennial squinting at the screen" It really is NOT about being a senior citizen or a millennial. Its about you starting a presentation w/ a picture of a woman with her Ipad on a couch squinting
Yes women and men all loling at the picture of the 57 year old woman looking at her Ipad screen. I was so pissed off that I should have got up and walked out right there and then. But writing a blog is a way to bring awareness of the epidemic that is Ageism and Sexism
So FYI , I will ck out this guys direct competitor BOOMTOWN!

So I picked up the above book at my local library for a whopping ONE dollar, took it home, got comfy and opened the first page , I purposely read the following from beginning to end, what I usually do is read who wrote it first , then the year. But this time I said no I will read this quote from beginning to end and not see who wrote it and what year. Here it is:

"We who like the children of Israel have been wandering in the wilderness of prejudice and ridicule for forty years feel a peculiar tenderness for the young women on whose shoulders we are about to leave our burdens...The younger women are starting with great advantages over us. They have the results of our experience; they have superior opportunities for education; they will find a  more enlightened public sentiment for discussion; they will have more courage to take the rights which belong to them... Thus far women have been the more echoes of men. Our laws and constitutions, our creeds and codes, and the customs of social life are all masculine origin.

I highlighted and wrote this last sentence in BOLD. Why? Because of the date. When I got to the bottom of this I was appalled that Ms.Stanton had said this in the 19th Century. I really, really thought this was going to say something along the decades of the 1950's or 60's related to the Mad-Men era. But WTF, we have not made progress! Case in point: myself. How demeaning and alive chauvanism is. 
Example:
"Well they sold you a Lemon because they see you are a woman" - Insert surprised emoji look here to mechanic.
"Excuse me are you a sales-rep for Bayer, cause I see you are at this conference"
"Are you a lawyer, ? I'm asking because you are dressed in a pant-suit"
"Are you a nurse?" Because you seem to know and speak the medical lingo

This happens to me everyday, and so with more frequency than the average lady, because I am a woman and a Minority in business. And I am proud of this. 
I am glad that other women like myself are writing newsletters , airing podcasts galore!!!

In other words Vicki and I strolled over to the Fab DVF booth where we got changed in DVF wrap dress of our choice and had Free Hair and Make up done!! Check it out!

CONFESSIONS OF A SOCIAL MEDIA JUNKIE-PART 2

So here we are , I have barely made it. Keep in mind, that when my title says social Media I am only referring to Periscope and Twitter. I do not post on Instagram/ FB /Snapchat/ Tumblr /Vine/ You Tube and the list can go on.
That said it has been a challenging week to say the least. I have tried to keep busy trust me , even went to NYC twice in the same week had a blast. Oh "live in the moment" they say, "be present" all this is very Zen bullshit but I wouldn't wish my week of misery to NO ONE. So let me dissect day per day , I lived through it so you don't have to:
DAY ONE: FRIDAY OCT 2: and it begins, yay wrote my blog! so excited to not be on the Scope (Periscope) and Twitter.
DAY TWO:SATURDAY: OCT 3 : something is off, way off, but I suck it up, maybe its a temporary feeling or maybe I just had too much coffee. I start twitching , heart thumping, and I'm not working out.
DAY THREE: SUNDAY OCT 4: NYC BOUND!! yay , this can't be bad, except for the fact that I want to Periscope every single moment and tweet about conversations overheard on the Sub-way , have an excellent bonding day with my new Bff +Vicki  who I met over on Periscope.
DAY FOUR-MONDAY OCT 5: I really feel like Carrie in Homeland specifically when she has hallucinations see Homeland Season 4 episode 7 specifically to understand my symptoms.
DAY FIVE-TUESDAY OCT 6: I randomly start tapping my screen reading a Kindle book. Yes I did manage to read the entire latest book by +Bethenny & no I do not agree with her that breaking up with someone is like a cleanse : you feel shitty the first 2 days by the 3rd its smooth sailing. Nope not here . Not ever.
DAY SIX: WED.OCT 7: At this point, if I walk into a room where CNN is on , I immediately exit said room. Of course this leaves the rest of my family puzzled as to why I have a sudden repulsive feeling when the news is on. Since Twitter provides me all the news I need. I refrained from watching or reading any news. This my friends was is the hardest day of my Twitter history: the fact of being unable to "live tweet" the latest episode of Empire. Watched the entire episode in a fetal position.
DAY 7: THURSDAY OCT 8: anxiously  waiting for the World to stop so I can get off.  Did the Math since I started tweeting: everyday since Oct of 2009 with my anniversary in Oct 2015 that would put my total of tweeting non-stop including vacations to:2,190 days minus these past 7 days and that is a whopping 2,183 days of tweets which do not include the interaction of RT, DM and posting. This is just me sending and writing tweets daily.
DAY 8 TODAY!!!! Take a deep breath , suddenly I feel calm , like a sense of relief that I will join my tribe again. That this self-imposed social media break was living in Hell. And no I never took illegal drugs, but now I can talk to all former substance abusers and tell them for a fact looking them in the eye: I understand EXACTLY what you are going through.
So guys, don't get off the Social Media Wagon, don't . You can perhaps tweet less, don't Periscope single moment. But do share. Because sharing is Caring. and I care about you guys and my own Sanity.

MY SOCIAL MEDIA VACATION/EXPERIMENT PART 1

So lately my noggin has been a Mush of Twitter, Periscope, and Homeland insert my Business, home , elderly parents ,son and cat  it has all turned into a melting reality pot. In other words a blur. I have decided to (gasp) not tweet or scope for an entire week yes an entire week my friend. Now keep in mind I have been personally tweeting since 2009 (take that @jack) and Persicoping (scoping) since May.
How, I was thinking during my commute this a.m,willl I continue my existence??
While I simmered in my social media withdrawal misery a light bulb went on! My accountability will be held via this blog. Meaning I will report back to my loyal tweeps (Twitter) and Scopers NEXT FRIDAY ON THIS VERY BLOG the results of my week of misery or not. Perhaps, I can finally read +Bethenny book "I suck at relationships so you don't have to" or catch up w/ Homeland considering that its 5th season is starting this weekend. Or mellow in the numerous Podcasts on my Phone.
Speaking of my Phone- I also considered deleting these apps from it. And then I reflected nahhhh you are stronger than that! You have to resist. You can do this (insert crying emoji)
Don't forget I also have 2 years of Architectural Digest Magazines and O (Oprah Magazine) or read Barbara Streisands Design book. I bet you didn't have a clue that she wrote one either.
Ahhhhhh, yes it will be a stress reliever, I feel relaxed already (not). Ok guys, stand-by I am doing this, we can do this!!! So please don't call 911 , or send the cavalry to search for me in the state of New Jersey. Yes I am grateful for all my loyal tweeps, there have been instances where ppl have gone into silence just to find out that they were dead. Well I am withdrawing by choice! For ehem one tiny itsy bitsy week, no biggy right?

DID I TELL YOU ABOUT THE AFFAIR?....

First of all I wanted to apologize to my audience for NOT blogging on the past 2 Fridays. September 11th fell on a Friday, and yes it still affects me. I don't think I even went to work that day. But anyway here I am, and guuurllll or boy let me tell you about THE AFFAIR!!! Now in its 2nd Season on Showtime. For those of you that do have Showtime please download the Showtime anytime app and stream , stream, stream away. They actually have a preview of the 1st Episode of Season 2 of The Affair . I fell asleep watching this last night and no not because it was boring , because I'm simply tired. Ha.
Anyway, I have to tell you that the opening song is amazing,Fiona Apple sings it and its touching, haunting and actually gives you a "preview" of things to come. I want to share the lyrics with you and I highly recommend you listen to it on You Tube, I will include a link to the video below: The song is only 1minute and 19 seconds. Wow

What @omarosa and I have in common....

Today is about a subject that hits close to home... Grieving. Yes that is What Ms. O and I have in common. Yesterday +OMAROSA tweeted the following: "Lost my love 3 years ago today...my world will never be the same #gonetoosoon #GodBlessMCD" and by this she means her late fiancee the Great Michael Clarke Duncan who suddenly passed on 09/03/2012 and what I believe was a fatal heart attack and in Omarosas arms if I recall in an article that I read. I tweeted back to Ms. O:" So sorry- I know what it feels like -inserted sad emoji face. Previously I had tweeted something to her and to my surprise she Fav'd my tweet! She did not respond to my last tweet.  So this is where I make the connection, and let bactrack so you can get the whole picture:

 I started following +OMAROSA on Twitter, that brought me to following here on Periscope , if you don't know about Periscope you live under a rock , or you can find out by reading my previous blogs. Anyway, Ms. O was kind to have her join her inside the Green room of various shows , one in particular is/was Dr. Drew (she has been active as a guest there recently) She did mention "after all I am single now" kind of under her breath. I can relate to everything Ms. O went through in terms of grieving. I suddenly lost my dear husband in Oct. of 2003. Every October since his death I would light candles and say a prayer then light more candles say more prayers and cry. 
But for the past couple of years I have turned things around. I want to celebrate my late husbands LIFE. See he is still with me day after day, he appears in small things, a song, a picture, a memory a friend. He is with me every day, and he is looking out for me , just like Michael is looking out for Ms. O on a daily basis.
I also wanted to mention that Today , I met a fabulous woman , no let me type that again a WOMAN named Ms. Taneshia Nash Laird a.k.a @taneshia over on Twitter. I was reflecting on what to write about today, and was in awe of Ms. Taneshia , what strengh! She is also a widow, her hubby passed in 2013, but let me tell you something actually let me type a portion of her bio:

• she is Regional Director of the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce for the Trenton-Ewing MSA , which is all of Mercer County. Ms. Laird is the founder and CEO of Legacy Business Advisors, a strategic communications, business development and real estate development consulting firm. Based in Trenton, Legacy serves clients throughout the United States. Ms. Laird sits on several boards including Art Pride, the Advocates for NJ History, and the NJ Enterprise Zone Authority Board to which Governor Jon Corzine appointed her.

Wow! This was no coincidence, this was a message of support , a pat on my back that yes I will be ok, that yes I should and could move forward, even if I am feeling down. There are other women out there that suffer and continue and PREVAIL in their mission.
Ms. Taneshia invited me to an event in September with the US Womens Chamber , how gracious of her, I really look forward to meeting her. 
So see everything happens for a reason, we just don't know what the reason is so we become sad, frustrated, sometimes even angry. Well right now I feel grateful to have had a beautiful decade with my Husband that we shared with love (mostly) and that produced a wonderful human being : my Son Niko.

AN ORAL HISTORY OF NETFLIX AND CHILL ....

HE-HE (GUILTY PLEASURE OR JUST PLEASURE)

Puis-je avoir votre attention s'il vous plait.- May I have your attention, please. Well obviously I have because you are reading this now. So how do you explain the above blog title....Things that make you go hmmmm.
Its very easy actually, it all happened when suddenly we weren't getting our red envelopes in the mail anymore. My DVD player actually has 3 inches of dust. It really all seems like a blur. I mean when did we abruptly move from getting Netflix in the mail, to streaming? Mind you I just read an article that in certain parts of the U.S. ppl are still doing the Netflix mail in DVD portion. For me the "Chill factor" started w/ our binge of #OITNB (a.k.a.Orange is the New Black) Series. Obsession indeed started after that.
For example/ series that I am currently watching & in no particular order:

• Portlandia (season 1 thru 4)
• Chef's Table
• Bloodline
• The Mind of a Chef
• Anthony Bourdains Parts Unknown 
• Sense 8
• And all things Ken Burns: documentary of the following: The West/Prohibition/The War/The Civil War/
• Grace & Frankie (so far Season 1) highly recommend this one! w/ Jane Fonda
• of course last but not least binged on "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"
• ahhhh ok and now Mad Men (Season 7) please note they only have on +Netflix up to episode 13 for the rest of the final season you will have to buy it on I-tunes or wait for who knows how long

I mean the fun and learning is never ending! Not all is on Netlfix however, sometimes I type in a title that I could almost guarantee would be there and its not. So I swing over to +EPIX / +Hulu or +AmazonPrimeTV 

And finally if your title is not there then you have to pay my friend : Apple- I Tunes
So there you go a never ending stream to turn you into a zombie in no time, and an excellent excuse to put off scrubbing your toilet!

Ok, so this his how I got to the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken : walking and then up a flight of stairs "Rocky style" and I'm not kidding. After struggling up the 1000 steps, I had to ask Campus Police where the Howe Center bldg. was , after that I had to go up to the 4th floor. At this point , I am covered in a pool of sweat, whip out my phone and start Periscoping. Because the Scope competition was on, to my delight the first person I scoped was the amazing and charming Ms.Ashley Kaplan - Marketing Manager of the NJTC (New Jersey Tech Council). Ms. Ashley invited all of us to an event where there will be Drones and Robots , yeepeee! My kind of idea of fun indeed.
So lets go back to the Meet-Up: shout out to Aaron from @NJtech!  First we started w/ presentation of 3 start-ups , then a Q&A interview w/ @garyvee (Mr. Gary Vaynerchuck) CEO of @vaynermedia. And girl he is a Hustler in true body, mind, and soul. This guy was 100% ON . No BS and by that I mean in true Jersey style the f bomb was dropped so many times I lost count. He was so focused and so passionately talking, he actually was late for his meeting, unless he took a helicopter, I have no clue how he got out of this Bldg. so fast. Especially since it took me 1/2 to get out, going down the "Rocky stairs" again.
I am really excited for the upcoming meetups for this group. Very impressed even that the actual Mayor of Hoboken (Mayor Dawn Zimmer) was on the floor. Don't ask me what she said cause the whole time I was star-struck. This is the same lady that went against Governor Christie for withholding Sandy Relief.. This lady rules and she is a true JERSEY GIRL.

YAY SHOUT OUT TO @EPIXHD !!!! Social Edition

EPIX HD has been EPIX TO ME !!! hehe, see it all started out w/ going in and out of Periscope in one day I went in and out of my favorite scopers channels and they had this competition named #passthehunt. So much fun for us , but not so much fun for the poor scopers running around stores like chickens with out heads-lol
But shout out to Epix HD !!!! See let me explain , first I was named "tentative winner" , then I won!!!!
Yay, but wait it gets better, EPIX HD went beyond the call of duty to deal w/ me and I have the e-mails to prove it!

YAY! WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF PODCASTS...

Ok guys, so wow there is a whole other world out there ... and its called PODCASTS!! Download the App, the Icon is the purple image above. Thats what it looks like on your I-phone (Apple) Don't ask me about Android (sorry). So yes, once you download that on your mobile, its straight to party party party and loads of info to your noggin. This is how I started: rather than drive on auto-pilot to work, I discovered the amazing world of podcasts thanks to +helloross (Ross Mathews) of E! channel fame. His podcast is called "STRAIGHT TALK W/ ROSS MATHEWS". He and his staff are amazing! They also cover all things entertainment, and some deep issues too. And lots of teenagers listen to it, including me (tee hee yes I think like one sometimes) And as thorough as I am of course I had to listen from Rosses first Podcast .
Ok, so that was like months ago, now I have podcasts galore on my phone. And I will share with you the ones I am trying to catch up with. Being that just like blogging some ppl podcast once or even twice PER WEEK. yep.

I mean seriously?? In the past 24 hrs. ,Periscope has turned into one giant infomercial. Rats! Just when it was getting fun. I think I may have to follow Tom Green + PP (perisope Puppet) & Sock Cop. PPL are on there now boasting on "sponsored" scopes and Infomercial after infomercial which goes something like this:

Uggghhh, I mean I own a business too, but social media should be about being social. Now I'm not saying to video tape your cat/dog/ lizard all day. But come on, its overwhelming, and this just has been going on the past 48 hrs. Its like Periscope has done a complete 360 on us, WE WANT OUR SCOPE BACK!!!
I actually had to unfollow a lady that was scoping from the D.C. area trying to get free meals and yelling at the screen how she and we hold the 'power" (I guess by giving a bad review) to the poor restaurant on the receiving end. Meaning it goes down  like this example:
I'm at IHOP and tell the manager well y'all know how many followers I have on Periscope ???

Exactly, you get it. These ppl are making Periscope not fun!
That was just one example. Then to my astonishment, after Periscope was preaching how you are not supposed to show nudity or you account will be blocked. The nerve of non other than a liquor company of making COMMERCIALS YES YOU READ IT HERE FIRST COMMERCIALS out of a "peep show".  And this is without a disclaimer folks, so basically I can have my 13 year old follow this liquor co. and watch how some lady unsnaps her bra . Yes this is true ppl. I am not making this up? and why should I?
I know we are living in a Capitalist/ consumer country , but please stop and think. Yes think before you Scope. I will repeat Think before you Scope. Or better yet dont think , dont have an intention of shoving your Webinar, Infomercial down our throats. The real People of Periscope are here to have fun and ride into the sunset. Our bottom line is not the $$$ neither should yours be.

Baccarat Bar ....swoon!!

My my what a difference a day makes, the night before we were drinking Pinot Noir in Baccarat goblets... Fast forward to the next morning we are on the F Train straight to Coney Island , riding the Cyclone!!
So much fun, we started with a few Brooklyn lagers, one was a summer batch and then the classic Mermaid Pilsner made by Coney Island Brewing Co.
So I have insert various pics of the Baccarat Bar itself, which was marvelous. And also of the giant Coney Island Rat found on a mural.
Awwww, but one thing that we missed was the New York Public Library , now that I would love to go to one day. But I can't complain everything on the list was accomplished and more!
We did visit the Chalk Point in Soho, where we went to the basement (yes Jeremy Piven does occasionally smoke a cigar there) and Sandy and I were left to "watch the bar" cause the Bartender had some biz to attend to. Sandy and I are official "groupies" ha.

What a whirlwind it has been since Android has come on board... did you notice? My Goodness, my phone is blowing up (Non-Android) I had to literally turn off the sound notification. Thats how crazy it has been. Beware of falling into the PERISCOPE VORTEX-DISCLAIMER: YOU WILL NOT GET OUT OF IT!!
I knew the moment Howie Mandel was live phone pranking, that he would get sucked in. It is so bad and out of hand , that Howie was on a private jet and went into the Pilots cabin MID-FLIGHT!!! Please insert Bananas emoji . This is insane. Then throw in 2 escaped convicts, an early premiere of #OITNB , and we will never see the light of day. You know that you are addicted when:

• You haven't left or care to leave your bedroom in 24 hrs.
• Your reading pile is now literally sky high

mmmmkay, I'm sure I must have lost half of my blog audience just talking about Periscope. But yes here I go again! Excited because woke up this morning ... (I woke up like dis) Yes I always have to have a Beyonce reference  in there. So yes I woke up and there was a Periscope update on my App store!
Some of my peeps at Periscope were wondering what the update was about so here is what the folks at Periscope are saying- stating:

• New Map section added to Periscope which lets you explore live broadcasts from around the world on a zoomable map. Tap "Map" from the "Global" section to access a live view of top location-enabled broadcasts from around the world.
• Replays are now instantly available- no need to wait for a replay to upload after broadcasting (you may still delete a replay from the "home" feed).
• You can now share the link to a broadcast you're watching on Twitter
• And last but not least : Periscope is no localized in 29 languages: English, Japanese, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Korean, Russian, Turkish, Portuguese, Dutch, Indonesian, Simplified Chinese? Danish, Finnish, Polish, Norwegian, Swedish, Thai, Arabic, Czech, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Malay, Romanian, Traditional Chinese?, Ukrainian & Vietnamese------->>>> WOAH

PERISCOPE MADNESS PART 4 A.K.A. SUMMIT

THE INSANITY BEGINS...

Ok Guys, I may be boring you (hope not) by now with the Periscope news, but its not ending anytime soon...
Because OMG they announced the Summit in NYC guys! Of course we are all going bananas , walking around w/ chickens without heads or scopes. Better yet, so pumped and excited that I was jamming my music till 10.30 pm on a weeknite.  This has my mom , the cat and my son puzzled of my teenager/ millennial behavior. Not to mention, that I include in  my scopes, my frog, my x-mas Nutcracker and today Cookie Monster will make a guest appearance. Also, my cat likes to jump in too. So the first summit will take place in September and then the one in San Francisco is in 2016. I just wish that every one would be so excited for Twitter like this... bummer its been around since 2009. I kind of feel bad for Twitter , but not too bad. After all it (Twitter) purchased Periscope for I think $100 million. And I did sign up for Periscope through Twitter. So I  am assuming lots of Tweeps will be attending. But see not too many ppl know what Periscope is.. I usually get the emoji surprised face when I tell ppl about the app. Peri-what? who, what , when ,where?
I mean it is worse than Twitter, so I don't bother talking about it anymore. I will just live in my own little world, with the cat, Kermit, Nutcraker , Cookie Monster & my Scope audience. Thats all ;)

ADVENTURES IN PERISCOPE PART 3...

YES !! HISTORY IN THE MAKING!!

You guys the insanity that is Periscope has arrived! Tom Green & Andy Dick met at a doughnut shop , and invited everyone and anyone to join them, then they were all driving to "an undisclosed location" to live stream Tom's WEB-O-VISION show. I  am not making this up, this is the 21st century my friends and its bananas! The fact that this is playing live before us is amazing, that we can participate live and type what our little good hearts desire is historic. Now lots of people know nothing of Periscope or that it even exists, this in reality is a baby that is just 2 months old (I think).

The only downside , is that there really are no set rules , meaning, you can be live taping and you get a comment of "show me your boobs". Mind you, Periscope has strict rules of NO NUDITY policy, and they will take down your account. So I know this (I wouldn't flash my boobs anyway) but there may be a stripper, teenager or grandma that is not aware and presto their account is deleted. There are other policies that are probably in place and that we as new "periscopers" aren't even aware of..... 

There are some ppl that take this app seriously, they have Google hangouts where they will analyze Meerkat vs Periscope. But I just scope for fun, I'm not looking for sponsorship (all-though it would be nice) . But for the most part I scope of places I go, topics I enjoy, books or magazines I read. You could always delete your scope immediately or it will automatically dissolve in 24 hours. The only down side , and there may be lots , is the fact that minors are on here, and since someone in their teens may be sensitive if some hater or troll says something not nice, what are the repercussions? Said teenager could be hurt emotionally. You have to have a very thick skin to be on this app, granted you could block the hater/troll, but it was already said to you. And then what? Not to mention that this can be viewed globally, add that to the fact that you are inviting your twitter followers and you may be in front of a large audience ... LIVE.

So Think before you scope, that would be my advice for now, oh and please keep your top on.

S.O.S ! PERISCOPE INSANITY

ummmmmmm.....

Ok, so this week has been overwhelming. Or maybe I'm not alone...I feel like we have stepped into a totally new dimension, and not only myself , Oprah was live Periscoping for her 15th Anniversary of Oprah Magazine.... and we were a witness to her party, from Margaritas made w/ George Clooney tequila , to her giving the staff off the rest of the afternoon. Yep, they all let out a collective sigh when no FREE CARS weren't offered . You mean we worked our butts off for 15 years and we only get the afternoon off? Well what good are we if we are all buzzed anyway. This is the power of Periscope , this is me hanging out virtually with Oprah and her staff in awe. This is technology this is the future... but I couldn't help to sigh myself, and feel that my whole being has an urge to be on Periscope every 15 minutes. Like I have a rash or an itch that needs to be scratched in 15 minute intervals or I start to have withdrawals that are -and wait for this- MORE SEVERE THAN TWITTER. Yes folks, you heard it here first. I have neglected my twitter account for the first time since 2009, where I don't even scroll for the latest news, I dont interact like I used to. I just LIVE FEED FROM PERISCOPE. And it is sucking, and draining all of us daily. I think it needs to stop for my sanity and I think y'all should consider the same. Its just to addictive. Not to mention , not even half of celebrities are on it... can you imagine when they all catch up. WE WILL GET NOTHING DONE.
So let us return to our live tweeting, to our Bravo Marathons, to our Pinning, to our Blogging lives...wait after I Scope.....

HELP!!!!! IM DROWNING IN SCOPES

MONTAGE OF HECK/NIRVANA & OTHER THEORIES...

Good One

So the above documentary premiered on HBO, with illustrations (some of them gross and graphic) but interesting since he (Brett Morgen- Director) even managed to bring Kurts scribbling , journal writing to life. This week I immersed myself in all things Nirvana. And had a melancholic feeling each time I watched a video on You Tube (MTV UNPLUGGED LIVE FROM NY) or when just last nite I evidenced the VH1 Behind the Music special "Courtney Love", for this I recommend you You Tube it. I guess since I was in my early 20s when Kurt killed himself and I was distracted with other music, I really didn't know for a fact that an overwhelming amount of Nirvana fans have/had this theory all this time that Courtney Love allegedly murdered him. Things that make you go hmmmmm.....

I then proceeded to do more research ordering Kurts Journal book and Brett Morgens book of the 

movie. Also previous to all this I had watched on Hulu the documentary by the BBC called Kurt & Courtney.  Never once did I believe that Courtney had anything to do with it. Back in the day I was a huge HOLE fan. LTT was my favorite album, and would listen to it over and over and over until it was all scratched up. I've just recently have become super interested in Nirvana and all things Kurt. Because the man was soooo interesting himself. Was really surprised too that his daughter (see pic below) was listed as Executive Producer. Now you can follow Ms. Frances Bean Cobain on twitter @alka_seltzer666 

Now woah I went through her TL on Twitter and some of the things she is into is mostly dark, i.e. : the art of Henry Darger , author of The Realms of the Unreal - I tried finding the movie based on him on I Tunes/ Netflix and finally found it on You Tube. Documentary by Jessica Yu- narrated by Dakota Fanning. I will blog about this too soon. Disturbing. Anyway, I just went on Twitter to find the handle for the Director Brett Morgan and Holy crap! He just went on a super dispelling rumor rant!!

Bullets please: @brettmorgan "Over the next hour, I will dispel several myths about the making of Montage of Heck":

• Don Cobain only agreed to an interview after speaking with Frances. This was the first time he agreed to appear on camera.
• None of the footage of Kurt and Courtney, pre Frances was in the storage facility. Eric, came to my office last winter w/ an unseen hi8 tp
• Courtney didnt see the film until the week of the premiere and never saw a frame prior to that.
• There is not a single edit in this film that was dictated by a family member studio or network.
• We were actively constructing the film in 2013/2014 . From 2007-2012 I was trying to acquire the necessary rights. The breakthrough was FBC
• The montage that opens the film was meant to evoke the world that don and jenny brought into and that Kurt was brought into.
• no animals were harmed during the making of the film
• All of @HiskoHulsing's animation was done by hand except 2 shots that were composited in 3D
• The soundtrack will not feature any Nirvana music. Its all Kurt. A few unreleased tracks from the film, the rest have never been heard.
• We first approached Dave about an interview in April 2014
• Dave did sit for an int. 3 weeks after I completed the film. He was great. But unfortunately, it was too late for inclusion.
• The film could not have been made without the support of Dave, Krist, Wendy, Don, Kim, Courtney or Frances. Everyone came together for this
• All of the "score" heard  in the film that was not arranged by Jeff Danna, is Kurts. The guitar under the Frances letter seq is Kurt.

WEW, this guy is either super thorough or he does not have a life. He wrote all this in 13 tweets. All on the same day! Either he was buggin out from all the comments, or he was sitting at an airport and didnt have Periscope. However, going back to the theory of the murder, I did follow a guy that is adamant and vocal about this and you can also follow him on Twitter : @realjohnh 

The whole thing is just sad, can't wait for my 2 books to come in. Will be very interesting.

ALL THINGS MR. SELFRIDGE !!

 Ok guys , please start watching @masterpiecepbs aka Masterpiece PBS- I am currently on Episode 3 of season one of Mr. Selfridge. Amazeballs. It has everything, its just gives me life. Its romantic, sensitive and on Episode 3 , Jeremy Piven is with his shirt off and OMG my panties fell off. Dang. He is so hot. And btw single in real life. Sigh.
Anyway, Mr. Selfridge has a window designer a la Barneys NY , and they are always fighting back and forth, there is also a girl that works in the "accessories" department at Mr. Selfridge and Company , she is the girl on the left picture bottom 2nd left- did you get that?
So the guy that designs the windows asked the counter girl if she wore perfume , she said she wears lavender scent. See Selfridge & Co. wanted to create an "in house" scent. And they did, and it was a success. Now since I cant buy the real deal, I proceeded to walk into my local Whole Foods store and purchase the below scent called BLOOM by Rare Essence. I posted pics of the case , its a roll on scent (yes very 70's ) and the ingredients are Lavendar, Sandalwood, and Sweet Orange - YUM
I can't wait to wear this tonite on my date!! I will smell divine darling.
Mind you, that I have Chloe, Jimmy Choo, Dior, but I am excited about this $12.00 roll on perfume!!! Its so Mr. Selfridge-ish!! Wew I have tons to catch up with , they are in the 3rd season. Agghhh I am so behind. Do yourself a favor and watch this !! Miss Lady Mae is very bad ass, I just absolutely love her and if you watch you will know why : wink
